We had a great experience with Absolute Adventure. The weather did not cooperate on the day of our tour and we were able to change it to the following day. The guide was great and the experience highly enjoyable!

    An Absolute Cenote Adventure
Arturo and Rodrigo were fantastic hosts! Hospitable and so knowledgeable. Their knowledge of the cenotes and wildlife added to the tours value. We loved how each cenote had its unique beauty. We highly recommend Absolute Adventure to anyone who is interested if n seeing and visiting these beautiful locations of Mexico!

  3. Lyrics72000

Wow what a great experience and highlight of our trip. Arturo and rodrigo are great guides. Very knowledgeable about Cenotes and the area. We got to enjoy 3 different cenotes with different experiences at each. Lunch provided was local food and very tasty. Absolutely Loved it and can’t wait to come back and use absolute adventures again.

  4. Dina

Had a great tour guide and overall great experience private is the way to go! Was alone the whole time

  5. Shirley B

We had such a lovely tour. Arturo our guide taught us a lot about the cenotes. We were in Dos Ojos in the morning and we had the place all to our selves! We visited 3 very different cenotes and even did some ziplining. A week ago we did a tour with another company (not a private tour), but I would highly recommand the private one, worth every Penny! Thanks Arturo and off course our excellent driver!

  6. Raymond

It was a great experience with our guide Arturo and we enjoyed the 3 cenotes very much! He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and provided wonderful recommendations on which cenotes to visit to get the best experience. Would highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for an experience you’ll never forget!:)

  7. Jennifer H

We did the 3 cenote with lunch and Arturo was our guide. Arturo definitely is living his best life. He was a great guide full of info on the cenotes with a witty sense of humor. He was delightful. Definitely no regrets about booking the excursion. It was well worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed Arturo as our guide. Would definitely book with them again it was an amazing experience. Arturo!!! Arturo!! Arturo!! Thank you..😊🥰😊

  8. Amy

We had the pleasure of touring three different cenotes with Arturo (and Carlos as our driver) in early June and loved every second! What an incredible day of adventuring and exploring the beauty of these cenotes! We arrived to the Dos Ojos Cenotes park and had our first cenote (Jaguar) entirely to ourselves! Nothing like a 7 meter jump into an empty cenote at 8:30am to invigorate you and wake you right up! We loved the serenity of our first cenote and even got to zip line twice (again, with the entire place to ourselves!) We loved the crystal clear waters of Cenote Nicte-Ha and getting to snorkel and do more platform jumping. Our final cenote was Dos Ojos. What a different world! Ending our day exploring the cave and seeing the majesty of the rather hidden bat cave was the cherry on top of a perfect day. Having a private guide was spectacular and something we valued a lot. Arturo was knowledgeable and so great to get to know throughout the day. We loved chatting with him and sharing a delicious lunch together. The authentic meal at the end of a day of swimming and exploring was just what we needed! Thank you for an incredible and unforgettable experience on our Cancun visit!

  9. Joe

We did a tour this week with Arturo and our family had a blast. We did a tour with the company a few years ago and decided to return because the last one was so fun. Because we’d seen some of the cenotes the first trip, Arturo went out of his way to take us to new cenotes that we hadn’t seen before, except for Pet Cemetery, which we wanted to experience again. Arturo is super friendly and made the trip a fun day for our family.

  10. Tyler

Arturo and Omar were awesome. Very friendly and informative. We did the tour where you pick 3 Cenotes and stop at a restaurant. It was a lot of fun. Highly recommend.

  11. Stefanie

Wow! We booked this private tour so we could take our time exploring the ceynotes….Arturo was fabulous! He was very a very kind, authentic, and knowledgeable tour guide. Arturo took the time to understand our interests to help recommend the ceynotes we’d enjoy….although they’re so spectacular we’d enjoy any of them! We highly recommend Absolute Adventures to anyone and especially families!

Great Communication, Great Tour Guide, Great Tour!
We did the private 3 Cenotes tour with Arturo and he was a fantastic guide for the day. There was no act with Arturo, he was just a genuinely nice person and we enjoyed his company and expertise when educating us about each Cenotes and the wildlife we saw. The Cave Cenotes (Taak Bi Ha) was amazing (beware the water is chilly) but it truly is breathtaking. Too bad there were so many dumb Instagram models posing for 30 pictures in every spot though. No reflection on Absolute Adventure or Arturo, just the world we live in I guess. The lunch we were taken to at Juanitas was the best meal we had our entire trip! I will also say communication from the company was very good. Everything was a breeze with this tour company and we were all very satisfied as a group of 10. Thanks again Arturo and if we come back we will look you up!

  13. Kelly S

Arturo and Rodrigo were great! The trip to tour the cenotes was fun and informative. We appreciated their local knowledge of knowing great spots that were not very busy. And the lunch at Juanitas was so delicious!! Our entire group of 10 including teens and kids had a blast! Thank you! Highly recommend!

    THE BEST PRIVATE CENOTE TOUR!
The absolute best tour we’ve been on so far!! We went to their website and saw that we could choose 3 cenotes of our choice to visit. We had a cenote all to ourselves in the morning, and it was very private which fit our needs and speed (we wanted lots of swim time and photo opportunities). It was supposed to be a busy time, but for some reason we had great timing in most of the cenotes. Even during our visit in Dos Ojos which receives heavy traffic, we had the bat cave all to ourselves! our guide Arturo was so kind and accommodating! We had great conversations and such a great experience. I was just traveling with my brother and we did not know anything about Tulum (it’s our first time here and in Mexico), we felt safe and taken cared of the entire time. They provided us with the proper SANITIZED gear and such great insight on the cenotes and Mayan culture. The lunch was great as well. Will definitely book with them again for future private tours!!

  15. Kimberly

My husband and I went on a private tour of three cenotes. Our guide Juan/ JJ was fantastic! We were the only two people at all three cenotes. Lunch was so good.We would recommend a private tour over a group tour for the best experience. Thank you for outstanding service and great food.Along with a history lessons and we even got to see the jaguar ruin. My husband wanted to go see the ruins

  16. Quirk

We did the three cenotes tour with Dulce (our guide) and our driver (whose name I forgot, I’m sorry!!). It was an out of this world experience and we can’t recommend it enough. The three cenotes we chose were Casa Cenote, Jaguar, and Pet Semetary. We wanted to get different experiences from each cenote and felt like these would provide that. We got started with an early visit to Casa Cenote, and being there early is worth it! Other than one other swimmer, we were the only ones on the way out, and we got to see the famous crocodile up close! The fish here are large and you can see the different layer of salt and fresh water. It was beautiful, and relaxing (other than quietly swimming past the crocodile!)

The second stop was at Jaguar, and this was definitely the more adventurous Cenote, three levels of cliff jumping (from ~1.5 meters to 5 meters), a zipline, and a little bit of exploring you can do. There isn’t as much wildlife or cenote area to explore, but still a cool one to check out and add to your experience!

We stopped for lunch before our third cenote, and it was delicious! Dulce ate with us and we got to learn a bit more about her, her background, and ask questions about Mayan culture and the cenotes.

The third cenote, Pet Semetary was also incredible and very different, we got to explore a darker cave, that was connected to the massive underground river! Dulce kept us separated from other groups, so we got to enjoy the quiet and the sights all on our own.

A truly incredible experience. We felt very safe COVID wise, and we really enjoyed getting to meet Dulce and our driver. They clearly were passionate about what they do and Dulce was very knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a tour group to work with we couldn’t recommend Absolute Adventure more!

  17. Tracy

We booked private cenote tour and could have been happier. JJ was our guide. We went to 3 underground cenotes, and one open cenote. The colors were fabulous, the experience of snorkeling through passages made you feel like an explorer. Snorkels and flashlights provided. Lunch was great. If you have kids with solid swim skills. They will LOVE this.

  18. H81

We had a great tour of 3 cenotes with Juan Diaz this week. Our transportation was smooth, all equipment was provided, Juan’s advice in choosing 3 cenotes was helpful, and his guidance was fantastic. Highly recommend this tour!

  19. Family P

We actually were taken to 3 Cenotes; all different and fabulous in their own way.
We would have never found these on our own nor known the best way to see them.
We are a family of 6, ranging in age from 76 to 22, and everyone was thrilled.
Our tour guide, Manuel, was outstanding. We really lucked out! He knew where to take us to avoid crowds and give us a fabulous experience.
Friendly and informative, Manuel really put everyone at ease and made sure that we all had a fabulous time. He also had wonderful stories and facts that gave background to everything we did.
Thank you, Manuel and Absolute Adventures, for this incredible excursion!

Would highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for an experience you’ll never forget!:)

Arturo and Omar were awesome. Very friendly and informative. We did the tour where you pick 3 Cenotes and stop at a restaurant. It was a lot of fun. Highly recommend.

FAQ 3 Cenotes Private Tour

Is the 3 Cenotes tour private or shared?
This is a private tour, just for you and your group.

You’ll have a dedicated guide and vehicle all to yourselves—no crowds, no waiting, just a smooth and personalized experience.

Is the driver also the guide?
No. The driver and guide are two different professionals. All our tours include a dedicated driver and a separate certified guide.  While some companies offer a guide-driver, we believe this is not safe. Having a driver focused solely on the road and a guide fully dedicated to our guests ensures a safer and higher-quality experience.
How long does a private 3 Cenotes tour take?
Please check the full itinerary in the “Itinerary” tab for more details.

It typically lasts between 5 to 7 hours, depending on your hotel location and how much time you’d like to spend at each site.

Is transportation included from my hotel or Airbnb?

Yes, round-trip transportation is included from Cancun, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal and Tulum. We’ll pick you up right from your hotel, resort, or Airbnb for a stress-free start to your day.

Please note: we don’t offer pick up from Cancun Playa Mujeres hotels unless your group has 6 or more adults.

What vehicles do you use for your tours?
We offer a range of modern, air-conditioned vans to suit the size of your group and ensure a safe and comfortable journey. Visit our fleet page for more details.
Can I change the pick up time?

Yes, you’re welcome to choose your preferred pick-up time when booking.

That said, we recommend an early morning start to help you beat the crowds, skip the traffic, and enjoy cooler temperatures—it really makes a difference!

Is snorkeling experience required for this tour?

No previous snorkeling experience is required, but basic swimming skills are necessary.

We provide mandatory life vests, and our guide ensures a safe and comfortable experience for everyone.

Which cenote do we visit on this tour?
Choose Your Cenote: Open, Semi-Open, or Cave

You can view the list of cenotes available for this tour under the ‘Tour Description and General Info’ tab, where you'll also find links to full descriptions of each cenote.

Unless you've already made your choice, you can decide which cenote to visit together with your tour guide on the day of your tour.

Are cenotes cold? Are they easy to access?

No, cenotes aren’t too cold—they stay at a refreshing 75–79°F (24–26°C) year-round, which is perfect for a swim.

Most cenotes have easy access with platforms and just a few steps to get in and out comfortably.

Do we have to wear wetsuits?

No, wetsuits are not mandatory. Only life vests are required for safety.

We do provide wetsuits if you would like extra comfort, especially if you find the water chilly. Wearing a wetsuit can also help you stay in the water longer without getting cold.

Are there showers or changing rooms at the cenotes?

Yes. Facilities include clean showers, restrooms, and changing areas.

What should I bring for the tour? Where can I leave my belongings?
Check the "What to bring" tab on the tour page for the full packing list.

Be sure to bring the essentials: swimwear, a towel, and flip-flops/sandals.

You can safely leave your belongings in the van—our driver stays with it the entire time while you're out enjoying the activities.

Are vegetarian or special dietary meals available?

Yes, we’re happy to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary needs or allergies.

After booking, you can let us know your needs by filling out the check-in form—just follow the link in your booking confirmation email.

What is the cancellation policy?
Go ahead and plan with confidence—your booking is fully flexible!

You can cancel free of charge or reschedule (subject to availability) up to 24 hours before your tour.

We’re a small team and often fully booked 1–2 weeks in advance, so we recommend booking early to secure your spot.
