Our Tequila Tasting takes place in an authentic palm-roofed Palapa (shady Mayan shelter) at an outdoor bar in the jungle… You’ll love that Jungle Bar, can chill around and take beautiful pictures!

Tequila Tasting

Get ready to sample 6 different types of Tequila and Mezcal, and learn the difference between the two. Learn how they are made as part of this fun experience and feel free to ask questions. Will you prefer White, Premium, Ultra-Premium or Reposado (aged) Tequila? You can also compare Mezcal and Premium Mezcal as you enjoy this educational tour. Learn plenty of fun facts about Tequila from your private guide so you’ll know exactly what to bring back home or order from local bars.

Swim in Cenotes and/or Tulum Ruins

On the way to the Tequila tasting location, you can visit the Tulum Ruin with your guide, followed by a refreshing dip in a nearby cenote. Cenotes are spring-fed pools in natural sinkholes and are a must-see as part of your Yucatan vacation. If you prefer, we can take you to two different cenotes for a swim and snorkel in the clear cool waters surrounded by lush greenery.

  • Duration: 7/8 hours
  • Physicality: Easy
  • Age: Tour opened from 10 year olds. Only adults (more than 18yo) can participate to the Tequila tasting. Meanwhile minors can enjoy the pool and play around.
  • Snorkeling: Basic swimming skills required. This excursion suits everyone from novices to experts.
  • Which cenote will you visit? The day of your tour, you can choose one cenote between Nicte Ha, Takbe Ha, Jaguar or Casa cenote. If you prefer to go to Dos Ojos or to Pet Cemetery, we will add 15 USD per person on your balance. Your guide will be happy to help you to select the best cenote for you and your party according to your expectations and snorkeling skills.
  • Mobility: We can adapt this tour for people with disability.

  • Pick up and drop off at your hotel with private air-conditioned transportation

Price excludes

  • Ruins: In case you bring a go pro camera, a video camera or a phone with a selfie stick, there is a 45 pesos (less than 3USD) per device charged at the entrance of each
    archeological site, to be paid in pesos (INAH tax) – Drones and Tripods for video/cameras are forbidden.

Itinerary is based on a departure from Playa del Carmen.
Pick up time is recommended time to avoid the crowds. We can leave later if you want to.

You can bring personal belongings you require during the tour (phone, camera, extra set of clothes…). While you are visiting or snorkeling you can leave the things you don’t need in the van. Our driver will always be in the van, so keeping your things safe!
