Our guide Marcel took us to 2 cenotes, Pet Cemetery and NicteHa which were both great. Pet Cemetery was an underground cave that we could swim through, with interesting formations, both overhead and underwater. The water was a little chilly but the guide provided wetsuits and snorkel gear. He led us through the cave and pointed out interesting items. NicteHa was an outdoor cenote. Then we had lunch at an authentic Mayan restaurant and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this tour.
I booked this tour for myself & my 14 yr. old. I wanted her to see what the cenotes were all about. It was beyond my expectation. The guide, Juan did an excellent job telling us the history of the cenotes. Plus we enjoyed an excellent lunch & endless run & cokes, beer & soda. A half day of fun & my teenage grandaughter enjoyed our special day together.

No, cenotes aren’t too cold—they stay at a refreshing 75–79°F (24–26°C) year-round, which is perfect for a swim.
Most cenotes have easy access with platforms and just a few steps to get in and out comfortably.
No, wetsuits are not mandatory. Only life vests are required for safety.
We do provide wetsuits if you would like extra comfort, especially if you find the water chilly. Wearing a wetsuit can also help you stay in the water longer without getting cold.

WOW! we had an amazing time doing a 2 cenote tour with our guide Dulce! She was amazing! It was just my boyfriend & I and she matched our personalities great! she knew so many fats about the cenotes and taught us so much! she brought us to our first one a little after 9 am and we were the only ones there! that was wonderful, and then she took us to a more enclosed cenote with bats. Dulce let us go at our own pace and was great with taking pictures for us! The lunch provided after was also AMAZING! best vegetarian tacos! I will be definitely be using absolute adventures again!

he cenotes are very cool, we saw one that was open with lots of colorful flowers, water lilies, and fish. We then went to one that was totally underground and a completely different experience. Wetsuits were provided for the totally underground one as the water was cooler than the outside cenote. Lunch was great and ride back to the hotel was easy. Claire was great- we were originally scheduled to go snorkeling but the waves were too high. She suggested we could either reschedule, cancel, or do this cenote trip. As we couldn’t reschedule due to our departure date, we went with her suggestion of the cenotes, and I’m glad we did. Reef snorkeling is available many places in the world, but it’s not everywhere you can snorkel in a cenote. Trips with Absolute Adventure Mexico are really awesome, we will definitely use them again the next time we are in Playa del Carmen.

We had an amazing trip and this was the highlight. We went to 2 cenotes, one open and one cave. There weren’t many other people around due to Covid, so it was nice and quiet. The guide, driver, and the two of us wore masks in the van when we couldn’t socially distance. Our guide took several pictures for us while we were swimming. The lunch was great too! Claire gave us a private tour of Cenote Sac Actun and it was amazing!! He was extremely knowledgeable, came prepared with all the gear, and helped us to pick a Cenote to explore that was perfect for the rainy day we had. Having a private tour was so much better than going with a large commercial tour company, and we were able to see parts of the Cenote that are not accessible to all tour guides. The transportation was perfect for the drive and included waters, beers, sodas etc. We had a very organized and fun day snorkeling in the cenotes and then we enjoyed the zip line and jumping into the water. My wife and I are just leaving from a nine day vacation in Cancun (Hotel zone), and this excursion was the highlight of our trip. We did another snorkeling excursion through a different company as well, but it could not compete with this.
Hector, our guide, and Willie, our driver were so kind to us. And Hector was a fountain of knowledge, not just about cenotes, but also about Mayan/Mexican history and a bunch of other random things we had questions about.
We chose Sac Actun (Pet Cemetery) & Nicte Ha cenotes. Nicte Ha was like our own private underwater garden, with lily pads and colorful little fish. Sac Actun was breathtaking (the pictures online don’t even do it justice), and the cave system was big enough that any other visitors were barely noticeable. Lots of bats among the stalactites, and crystal clear blue water.

e did a private tour to Tulum and cenote. We were met at Tulum by a park tour guide for personalized service and information about various things in the park. VERY knowledgeable. Then off to Jaguar cenote and found out we could zip line while we were there. There were only 2 other people there the whole time. The guys at the cenote were very helpful. After that we went to a local place for lunch that was included. We didn’t even know that!!! Miguel and Pascual were at our hotel to pick us up at 7 AM as stated and then took us back to the hotel after the tour. I cannot say enough about Miguel. So personable and knowledgeable. This is our 3rd trip to Playa del Carmen but our first private tour and the best decision we made.Our guide was Juan and our driver was Ervin, they turned our holiday from great to amazing! We learnt so much more than we would on a larger group tour and had many laughs ( even down to the extra spanish lesson on the bus on the way to the cenotes ) Because the tours are planned to avoid the crowds we were the only people in the cenotes which made it extra special. Our cenotes were followed by lunch in a local authentic restaurant which finished the day off perfectly.
