Information for Travelers
Following the recent events that took place in Jalisco (approximately 1,900 km / 1,180 miles from the Riviera Maya region), the governments of Quintana Roo and Yucatán have officially confirmed that:
- Public transportation is running as usual
- Schools, businesses, and daily activities continue without interruption
- Airports and cruise ports remain fully operational
- All tourist attractions are operating normally
Official Travel Advisories
As of today, official U.S. travel advisories do not include specific restrictions or alerts for the states of Quintana Roo and Yucatán related to the recent events in Jalisco.
Reinforced Security Measures
Local authorities have reinforced police presence and security monitoring across major tourist destinations including Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Valladolid.
