Absolute Adventure Mexico
We were in Mexico for our niece’s destination wedding, and wanted to spend the day with them on a tour as their wedding present. Because it was for a special occasion we wanted to take a private tour to get the most out of the day. While researching tour groups ahead of time, I came across Absolute Adventures, and just from reading the reviews I knew that this was the group we wanted. Seeing all of the great tour options that they offer and the very reasonable rates sealed the deal, and I booked online a private tour of the ruins in Tulum and snorkeling with sea turtles for four people. Before our trip I had a few questions and needed to make adjustments, and with every interaction I received quick, friendly, and helpful email responses. On the day of our tour we were picked up right at the agreed upon time at our resort by our driver Pascual, and our guide Manuel. We felt very at ease with both of the friendly and happy guys right away. Manuel explained our itinerary for the day and we were off. We felt very safe with Pascual’s driving, and Manuel gave us lots of great facts about the area and history, while also cracking jokes with us, on our drive to Tulum. We arrived before the crowds and were quickly taken in to our friendly guide who took us through the ruins with Tulum. I’m sorry I can’t remember her name now, but she was also very friendly and knowledgable about the ruins and Mayan history. She happily answered all questions that we had and made sure that we got the most out of our experience. Manuel took several photos of the group for us throughout. After the ruins we were off to Akumal Bay to swim and snorkel with the sea turtles. Again Manuel handled everything very quickly and smoothly getting us checked in and outfitted for snorkeling. He joined us on our tour through the water with our snorkel guide and we saw so many different fish, coral, sea turtles, and other sea creatures. It was a beautiful experience. After snorkeling and getting cleaned up, and more photos taken for us by Manuel, we headed across the street to a local restaurant for the most delicious lunch of our whole trip. Afterwards, we stopped to take photos of really cool street art, and then were dropped back off at our resort. By the end of the day, we felt like Manuel and Pascual were our very good friends and we were sad to say goodbye. We would highly recommend spending a day or more with Absolute Adventures and will definitely book with them again if we are lucky enough to return. Included is a photo of us with Manuel at lunch.
See moreThis was the perfect solution for us! We wanted to see Tulum, but we didn't want more than a half-day tour, and we didn't want to be forced into shopping situations. We got an in-depth personal tour with our guide who went with us all the way around the ruins. We came away with a great understanding of the life and story of the ancient Mayans. Plus, we were home by late morning and had the rest of the day to do other things!
See moreFour of us (two couples) did two different private tours with Absolute Adventure. I will just go on record repeating what everyone else has stated. These guys are great. We did the Tulum/Coba tour and the Chichen-Itza + Cenote tours on a couple different days. Our guide for Tulum was Hector, and for Chichen-Itza we had Juan. Both guides took care of all the details, provided tons of great history and stories, plus were fun just to hang out with for the day. Ervin was behind the wheel on both trips and did a great job. Private tours of course are more expensive than group tours, but you will simply see so much more and get much more out of the experience. You'll see some big groups at these sites and be glad you went private. Plus, they did a great job always staying ahead of the crowds. Sure, it means an early morning pick-up but after you shake off the early morning wake-up call you'll be so happy you did it this way. I would not hesitate using Absolute Adventure on our next trip to PDC.

See moreOur guide, Juan was amazing. He possessed a wealth of information about the ancient Mayan people. We learned so much about how they lived and what they believed, especially in an important settlement like Tulum (which was a crucial trading port). The tour gives you several options for cenotes. We asked for an "open" cenote vs. a cavernous one since we had already been to three caverns. He gave us an option for one with a zip-line, but the one option we chose was so stunning and serene. I highly recommend the latter because you can zip-line anywhere, but cenotes are so special in the Yucatan Peninsula that you should see as many beautiful ones as you can!

See moreFirst of all having a private tour is a must if you want to be at Chichen-Itza without the crowds AND if you want to learn the most about the Toltec/Mayan structures and civilization. Our guide, Hector was incredibly knowledgeable and even shared some of his own personal theories. He seemed more excited than we were to share and leave us with not only an unforgettable experience but with a much greater sense and history of the Mayan people.

See moreMy sister and I chose the private tour to Tulum, cenote, lunch, and then a swim with turtles.
See moreManu and our driver were very accommodating and friendly. The actual snorkeling was amazing. We had incredible views and felt at ease. Our guide explained the Cenotes and what to expect while we were snorkeling. He also took many pictures of us and gave those to us to cherish. The lunch was phenomenal! We ate authentic Mayan food, beer, and had a tequila shot too! This private tour was exactly as expected, amazing!

See moreMy husband and I completely enjoyed our tour - we selected snorkeling in Puerto Moreles, and would highly recommend it to anyone. Our guide, Juan, was very pleasant - we enjoyed spending the day with him. We will definitely use Absolute Adventure Mexico for future tours when we visit Riveira Maya.

See moreStarted with great service from Claire online as she answered all of our questions. Dulce and Juan Manuel were our guide and driver and were the best! Our own private tour beat the crowds and had a magnificent experience. 100% recommend for any tour they provide.

See moreMy husband and I took tours with guides Hector and Juan this week, who were both incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond for us, and we will definitely be back. Seeing the ruins and cenotes with them was the highlight of our trip. Both of our drivers were very safe and super pleasant, which we also appreciated. I would 100% recommend this company to anyone. I can’t imagine a better experience.
See moreJust wanted to thank you for setting up our trip to Chichen Itza and centotes with a terrific lunch in Vallolidad on Nov2.Our guide Juan was not only a gracious host but very knowledgable, personable and professional. He is a walking encyclopedia on ancient Mayan civilization. The cenotes are a marvel of nature. Delicious lunch included a sweet woman hand making tortillas moments before serving to us. We really enjoyed our time on the tour and our relationship with Juan. He is a tremendous asset to your company. Best,Donn C & family
See moreI did some research before deciding to book a private tour with Absolute Adventure, and this is the best decision we could have made! My boyfriend and I had our tour on October 22, 2019, and were picked up at our hotel in Cancun, at the recommended time of 6am. Ervin was our driver, and Hector was our tour guide. They were both so friendly and made the 2 hour drive to Tulum fly by quickly. The van was air conditioned and also had plenty of cold drinks to choose from. Hector is really knowledgeable about Mayan and Aztec culture, and educated us on the entire history on our drive over. He really made us feel as if we were long lost family. When we got to Tulum, Hector took many amazing pictures of us, and knew exactly where we needed to stand to get the best shots. After Tulum, we went snorkeling in the cenotes, followed by a lunch at a Mayan restaurant. I was not sure what to get, and ended up ordering a dish that Hector had recommended, which was absolutely delicious. Overall, this was the best excursion that we had ever gone on, and definitely recommend booking a private tour with Absolute Adventure. When we come back to Mexico, we will definitely be booking different tours with them!

See moreWe did the three cenotes tour with Dulce (our guide) and our driver (whose name I forgot, I'm sorry!!). It was an out of this world experience and we can't recommend it enough. The three cenotes we chose were Casa Cenote, Jaguar, and Pet Semetary. We wanted to get different experiences from each cenote and felt like these would provide that. We got started with an early visit to Casa Cenote, and being there early is worth it! Other than one other swimmer, we were the only ones on the way out, and we got to see the famous crocodile up close! The fish here are large and you can see the different layer of salt and fresh water. It was beautiful, and relaxing (other than quietly swimming past the crocodile!)

See moreManuel is an amazing guide! Pascal is very quite but an excellent driver and very safe. 3 of us did the private tour of Tulum . Manneli was our guide for Tulum ruins. I cant even begin to tell how awesome this man is. He will educate you on the entire Myan culture from 800bc to the present. Manneli truly loves what he does and is extremely passionate about conserving the Mayan culture and traditions. It is truly the best money we have ever spent. There are a lot of tour companies but if you want the best experience you need to book with Absolute Adventure Mexico. The underground river tour with Manuel was like being on another planet. I could write about this experience all day. You will not be rushed at all. Tulum, Cave cenotes lunch then Akumal swimming with the turtles its mind blowing! pay the money and have the experience of your life. YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY. Manuel even takes picturs with his phone and emails them to you at no extra charge! amazing!
See moreWe have used Absolute Adventures 4 times now for the Turtles, Pet Cemetery Cenote and Tulum trip, Puerto Morelos snorkeling, Chichen itza and Valladolid and Turtles plus Dos Ojes trip. We loved every trip and they were highlights of our holiday to Mexico. The private tours give a very personalised experience. They are well run with excellent guides - Claire, Hector and Juan - who take good care of you, and delivered magical experiences which will stay with me forever!
See moreWe recently did a tour of the Tulum ruins and snorkeling with turtles at Akumal Beach. Our guide, Juan, was prompt, personable, and knowledgeable. He made sure everyone was accommodated and having a good time. We ended the trip with an amazing lunch at a local restaurant and that was one of the highlights of our trip! I highly recommend this tour. The Tulum ruins were very interesting and swimming with turtles, sting ray, and fish of all kinds was amazing. A great day was had by all!
See moreWe had a great time. Early access to Tulum was amazing as tourist really started to arrive after we left the park. Driver and tour guide were already waiting at hotel at agreed upon time. We did see sea turtles on our snorkeling trip. Lunch which was provided was delicious as well. Dropped off back at hotel for about 3:30pm great day spent exploring. Bring bug spray mosquitoes are a pest!

See moreJust finished an amazing tour with Hector og Erwin! We loved the fact that the tour was absolute private, Hector made us feel like family from the first minute. We learned so much about culture and history, and my kids (12 & 13) also loved to hear Hector tell with great passion! Coming to Tulum early was great, we beat the crowds completely and Hector took pictures of us through the visit, so we could focus on listening to the onsite guide Mr. Julio. At the cenote, we had the place all to ourselves, which made it a truly amazing experience! We enjoyed the conversations with Hector during the great lunch. Very local and not at all a touristtrap. At our last stop at Akumal, we found seaturtles, and it was just amazing! We can't recommend this trip enough!! Just do it! This trip made our vacation perfect and both kids and adults had the best time. All through the day Hector and Erwin took care of us, and made us feel so comfortable. Thank you! Best recommendations from the Madsen Family!

See moreLoved the tour - guides were excellent. Not as fond of the amount of peddlers. Lunch was great and the trip to the cenote was amazing.
