Muyil ruins, Kaan Luum Lagoon & Cenote
If you’re exploring the Riviera Maya, one of the most incredible tours combines the Mayan ruins at Muyil with a visit to Kaan Luum Lagoon and the opportunity to snorkel in a pristine cenote. It’s three incredible experiences bundled into one private tour!
Muyil Ruins and El Castillo
Nestled within the verdant jungles of the Riviera Maya, Muyil ruins boast the striking presence of the unique pyramid, El Castillo. The site’s strategic location along ancient trade routes adds to its historical significance, providing insights into Mayan commerce and culture. Visiting Muyil ruins promises a fascinating journey through time, offering a deeper understanding of the rich heritage of the region.
Kaan Luum Lagoon
The picturesque Laguna Kaan Luum features a shallow lagoon with stunning turquoise waters. In its center lies a deep cenote (the source of the fresh water) marked by an area of darker water. With a sandy bottom along the shoreline, the fresh water ranges mostly from knee to shoulder depth, while the deep center of the cenote is designated off-limits for swimming.
You can relax beneath the shady palapa or stroll along the pier and take a refreshing dip in the lagoon. We’ll even provide floating airbeds so you can kick back and soak in the tranquility of the waters. It’s simply stunning!
Cenote experience and Lunch in Tulum!
The final stop of this incredible Muyil Tour includes a stop at Cenote Corazon. As you snorkel and swim, swim into the crystal-clear waters to marvel at the breathtaking rock formations.
Once you’ve had your fill of the refreshing cenote swim, you’ll be ready for a delicious lunch and drinks at a typical Mexican restaurant in Tulum center.
Note: This tour does not feature the floating river experience in Muyil-Sian Kaan.
