I joined a private tour from Cancun to Chichen Itza and one cenote, including lunch at a local restaurant. The guide was very experienced, like a history teacher. The cenote and restaurant choices were spot on. Since we were traveling with a 2 year boy, we opted for a private tour instead of a bus tour, and it was absolutely the right decision.

We had the best time ever doing the Chichen Itza Tour, Cenote & lunch. The latter was up there of some of the nicest I ever had. There’s no secrets with Absolute, everything is straight forward, perfect process from start to finish. Our guide Arturo was extremely well informed & had a great personality. It didn’t even feel like a tour guide after Chichen Itza, but more so our friend. Goes to show that Absolute only hire the best. Saying that, I have to give a special mention to our driver Omar also – Very funny & genuine guy who was always there to give you a hand. 10/10, would 100% recommend.

Fantastic Trip
Our family enjoyed a wonderful day at Chichen Itza, followed by the Oxman cenote and lunch in Villadolid, with this group. Cristina was an enthusiastic, wonderful tour guide and we really appreciated spending time with her in these magical destinations. I highly recommend getting picked up from the resort at the earliest time offered in order to avoid the heat and crowds at Chichen Itza (especially with kids). I’m sure all of the centers offered are wonderful, but you can’t go wrong with Oxman. The water color was spectular, and I would return to Yuctan someday even just for exploring new cenotes. -

Well panned , customizable and a fun Chichen Itza day tour
What an excellent, well planned day! We started early at 6AM , Joshua (guide) and Omar (driver) were already waiting for us when we arrived at the lobby. We did a quick stop to pick up complimentary coffee and croissants . When we arrived at Chichen Itza , We were the first ones to get in . Joshua took lots of beautiful pictures of our family with no crowd, Joshua was very knowledgeable about the history and explained in great interesting details . We spent couple of hours at Chichen itza and then headed to the Cenote where we spent a fun hour. Joshua then took us for the complimentary lunch at a local restaurant , the dish cochinita pibil pork was soft, succulent and full of flavor . We spent another half hour at colonial town of valladolid.and then headed back to Cancun . We were back around 3 pm and the day was packed with fun and well planned adventure giving us the freedom to customize time at each stop. The company was in constant touch via email , very professional . I highly recommend this tour company ! -

I was traveling with my 2 children and felt extremely safe with my guide. I felt like he was watching out for us the entire time. I 100% recommend this tour. They went above and beyond my expectations.

We had an unforgettable private tour with Absolute Adventure Mexico, traveling from Cancún to Chichén Itzá and Valladolid.
Josh was our guide and Omak was our driver — both of them were absolutely amazing.
Josh was incredibly thoughtful, informative, and flexible. He shared so much history and culture with us, always with a friendly smile and great energy. Omak drove us safely and smoothly all day, and was also super kind and attentive.
The entire experience was perfectly planned and felt very personal. We visited iconic sites, explored charming streets, and learned so much — all without feeling rushed. We especially appreciated how they adapted to our pace and interests throughout the day.
It was the best tour we’ve had on our trip, and we highly recommend Absolute Adventure Mexico to anyone looking for a high-quality, stress-free experience in the Yucatán! -

Great experience with great people
This was truly a remarkable experience. Was skeptical when saw so many 5-star reviews – but it was a 5-star experience. We had Alex as our guide and Enrique as our driver. Both were super-friendly and welcoming. Alex gave us a great history and educational lesson as we headed to Chichen Itza. The tour of the ruins was great. The cenote experience was also breathtaking and relaxing. Lunch was amazing. They did a great job of catering tour to what we wanted to do and asking if we needed to make stops. They had plenty of snacks and drinks to keep our kids happy (ages 16, 14 and 11). Overall, great experience. -

My partner and I are currently on holiday in Mexico, for our honeymoon! We had a great time with Joshua and Rodrigo and opted for a private tour of Chichén Itzá with Joshua and a stop at cenote Xkeken, it was a recommendation from their list, we let Joshua decide. We were picked us up right on time, as they recommended, pick-up was early but this ensured we were ahead of the crowd. Lunch was included and this was great, drinks were not included with the meal, but the van was air conditioned and several refreshments were on offer, Overall 10/10.

We had a wonderful private morning tour to Chichen Itza and Cenote Oxman with our driver, Omar, and tour guide, Christina!
We were able to nap on the long ride to Chichen Itza and offered snacks and cold drinks along the way. Restroom stops were also offered as well.
Christina was a wonderful tour guide through Chichen Itza and we were able to stay as long as we wanted.
The Cenote was beautiful and especially refreshing after spending the morning in the hot sun.
We ate at a lovely restaurant for lunch and were offered to tour Valladolid but we opted to head back to the resort.
Highly recommend this company and especially the private tour for a more relaxing and personalized experience! -

Hands down the best way to see and experience Chichen Itza. Our tour guide Arturo and our driver Rodrigo picked our group of 11 up very early. They gave us options for bathrooms and rest stops with snacks along the way. Upon arrival to Chichen Itza Arturo gave us our tickets and we were able to leave all our things in the bus as the driver stayed with our belongings the whole time. This was very helpful as it was a hot day and carrying extra things would have been a lot.
Arturo was an amazing tour guide he is trained not only in archaeology but has a past of his own of being an architect so his insight he gives to the ancient ruins is unmatched. He kept us on time and in the shade as much as possible. A couple people on our group had some overheating issues and he was very accommodating.
After our tour around the ruins we went to the Oxman cenote. It was absolutely stunning. There is a rope swing and a jumping platform. Arturo was kind enough to take group pictures from the top to keep our phones from getting wet.Our group was very hungry after Chichen Itza and the tour provided snacks and drinks. Arturo with his experience knew the restaurant sometimes takes awhile for large group orders so we picked our lunch before the cenote and he called it in ahead of time. By the time we arrived at the restaurant we maybe waited 10 minutes to be eating as a group. We had authentic mayan cuisine that was delicious and also part of the tour price.
Outside of tipping and drinks at the restaurant the total tour price included our entrances to Chichen Itza and the cenote, lunch, transport, and all the knowledge and guidance from the tour guide.
Would 10/10 recommend this company for the Chichen Itza and cenote trip. I cannot speak to the other tours, but if the communication and the service is the same I can assure you will have the BEST time and it was worth every penny!

Our family—three generations, ages 78, 47, 44, 12, and 9—had a wonderful experience on the Chichén Itzá + Cenote + Valladolid tour with guide Joshua and driver Omar. We opted for a private tour to accommodate the different needs of our group. There was an additional fee since we were departing from Cancún rather than Playa del Carmen, where the company is based—but it was well worth it to go with Absolute Adventure Mexico. Joshua and Omar were well prepared and excellent with our group—engaging, informative, and respectful of our pace and freedom to explore. Be sure to grab a drink from the cooler in the van before entering the Chichén Itzá site. The stops were well timed and flexible, and the driving felt very safe. At Paladar del Cura, I recommend the Cochinita Pibil (Yucatán-style barbecued pork with tacos on the side)—a delicious local specialty. We waited to order dessert until we reached Valladolid so the kids could enjoy ice cream at La Michoacana. We had a choice of two cenotes and chose Oxmán for its rope swing and jumping platforms—this was a hit with our group! Bring a waterproof phone pouch for great photos inside the cenote. Our older traveler chose not to descend the 73 steps to the water and was warmly welcomed to wait with Joshua, where he continued learning about the area’s history and enjoyed photographing the cenote from above. Sunscreen isn’t allowed in the cenote to help protect it, but it’s shady inside, so you won’t need it. Everyone wears life jackets in the water. Thank you, Joshua, Omar, and Absolute Adventure Mexico, for the unforgettable memories and a great tour!

The hubs and I used Absolute Adventure Mexico for a private tour to Chichen Itza, Cenote Samula, and for a vegetarian lunch in Valledolid. Our private tour guide, Josh, was polite, friendly, and very educated on the places we visited. Our driver, Kike, was also polite, and did well to ensure we didn’t feel car sick. All in all, excellent service! We would definitely recommend and use the company again! 😊👍🏼

Arturo was kind enough to take group pictures from the top to keep our phones from getting wet.
Our group was very hungry after Chichen Itza and the tour provided snacks and drinks.
