Had a blast exploring the Pet Cemetery Cenoté with Juan! He was such a fun guide and made this excursion so much fun! Super knowledgeable, funny, and gave us plenty of time for photo ops and exploring! Also, shout out to Enrique for being a great, nice, and safe driver during our trip! Would 100% book again!

  2. MG

Arturo was great! I’ve used this company before for a cenote tour and scheduled them for Sac Actun. Once again, the company was fantastic. We enjoyed the tour and highly recommend them!

  3. Michelle

Wonderful experience! Arturo and Carlos did an amazing job getting us to the most beautiful cenote. Arturo provided a lot of education and history lessons along the way and is clearly very well traveled and knowledgeable about many things.
I would absolutely recommend this tour and I will be back to plan another tour with this company again. I come often so I’m excited to have found them!

  4. Olivier

    Magical swimming experience
We went for a tour in a Cenote with Arturo, our guide, who was a very charming and friendly person.
The Pet Cemetery Cenote was just a magical experience, swimming in a maze like cave system, leading to spectacular “rooms” with draperies, stalactites and stalagmites.
Arturo brought us to some surreal locations with no daylight at all.
    The organization was impeccable.

  5. Jon

Amazing Day at Pet Cemetery Cave Snorkeling with Kids. We spent an amazing day with Arturo and Joshua as our guides through Pet Cemetery/Sac Actun. The cenote was far more beautiful and amazing than the online pictures show – the best of the four cenotes we visited while in Tulum. Arturo was wonderful with our boys (13 and 9), the youngest of which wasn’t thrilled by the idea of cave snorkeling. But Arturo took time with him and made him feel so comfortable – our youngest ended up loving every minute of the tour. We were so happy Arturo and Joshua (who was training to be a guide and will also be amazing) joined us so we could learn more about them, the company, and the area.
We couldn’t recommend this company or our tour guides any more. We did three tours with Absolute Adventure while in Tulum and loved all three – each was well worth the time and money. From Rodrigo our driver, to our tour guides, and all the way through to Claire and Cyrille the owners – this is the company to use! Stop your search!

The Most Incredible Day! Do not Hesitate to book with Absolute Adventure Mexico.

  7. Victoria

Amazing day with Juan to Pet cemetery today. It was just amazing. highly recommend.

  8. Bill

Hector, our guide, and Willie, our driver were so kind to us. And Hector was a fountain of knowledge, not just about cenotes, but also about Mayan/Mexican history and a bunch of other random things we had questions about.
We chose Sac Actun (Pet Cemetery) cenote. Sac Actun was breathtaking (the pictures online don’t even do it justice), and the cave system was big enough that any other visitors were barely noticeable. Lots of bats among the stalactites, and crystal clear blue water.

  9. bkck

Wonderful experience! Chris was an excellent guide. Would recommend this tour. Went to Pet Cemetery senote, which was breath taking. We stopped and ate at a small restaurant. The food was fantastic. Thank you Chris!

  10. Nadine

Marcel was a fantastic guide and provided an immense amount of information during our tour. He is very passionate about the history, culture and beauty of the area. Our entire family (including our children) enjoyed our conversations with Marcel. It was the first snorkeling experience for my children and Marcel easily calmed any fears of snorkeling at the “Pet Cemetery” cenote. In fact, it was the favorite part of the entire trip for my youngest (who was also the most apprehensive). It was an awesome day for all of us.

  11. Maria

Wonderful tour. I would highly recommend Absolute adventure they were professional, friendly, informative and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. Snorkeling at Pet Cemetery (cenote) was amazing, the water was so clear. They even provided wet suits since the water is a bit chilly for these Floridians. We had lunch near the cenote and it was delicious. Thank you Claire and Juanjo for a wonderful tour !

  12. Jennifer

I cannot tell you how thrilled we were with our excursion through this company. We chose to snorkel in a Cenote named Pet Cemetary, and eat at a Mayan restaurant in the jungle. We went as a small group of four (my boyfriend, his son, his son’s friend, and myself).

From the get-go, Claire was exceptionally responsive via email. We exchanged several emails, and she answered all of my questions patiently and quickly, which is no small feat. When I was comfortable and had all of my information, I booked the excursion. The instructions were clear and I felt very confident that the excursion would be awesome.
Marcel was our guide on the trip and Ervine was our driver. Both were incredible respectful, professional, accommodating, and truly wonderful.
The cenote was stunning! It was other-worldly! Even with a true beginner at snorkeling in our group, we had a lot of fun. They provided wet suits, which was nice as the water, while warm, gets a little chilly after a while. This is truly a must regarding their excursion options. This was likely the highlight of our trip.
The Mayan restaurant we ended with after the Cenote was nearby and the food was amazing! Marcel ate with us. He was knowledgeable regarding the menu, which was helpful as we had a few questions.
I truly cannot express how amazing this excursion was. Clear communication from beginning to end. Absolute Adventure Mexico deserves to be a highly sought-after company as they truly have put a lot of time and energy into making their excursions second to none!

    Great cenote tour!
Our guide Marcel took us to Pet Cemetery. Pet Cemetery was an underground cave that we could swim through, with interesting formations, both overhead and underwater. The water was a little chilly but the guide provided wetsuits and snorkel gear. He led us through the cave and pointed out interesting items. Then we had lunch at an authentic Mayan restaurant and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this

    Awesome adventure with Absolute Adventure
We booked “pet cemetery” cenote adventure. We were two families, a party of 10, staying at two different hotels in Cancun. Marcelo was our guide, and took amazing care of us. They picked us both up in a timely manner. It was WONDERFUL to be on a PRIVATE tour by ourselves! We loved swimming in the pet cemetery cenote was spectacular! To finish off the great day, they took us to a typical Mayan restaurant for lunch. All included. I’d highly recommend it to all!! Don’t forget an underwater camera or underwater cover. You will want to take pictures!!

  15. Shelly

Private tour is the only way to go!
I always prefer a private tour when possible… for the very reasons I enjoyed our day so much. As Marcel said at the beginning – it’s your day, we do what you want to do at your pace. They picked us up promptly at our hotel and we headed out. I asked to stop at an ATM since the ATM at our hotel charges exorbitant fees to use and he said – no problem. We snorkeled in the Pet Cemetery cenote. I hadn’t really researched cenotes prior to our trip so I had no idea how cool this was. We were so happy we picked this tour. We took our time, had our guide all to ourselves instead of competing with others to ask questions or take pictures. We never felt rushed, he took care of all transactions with admission fees, lunch bill, etc. It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend doing a private tour whatever excursion you choose and don’t hesitate to contact this company!!

  16. Chriss

We had a great time even with the rain! Really enjoyed the pet cemetery cenote. Marcel was a great guide . Thank you absolute adventure! If I am ever in Playa again I will definitely tour with them again.

  17. Lindsay

It was the highlight of my trip- swimming in the Pet Cemetery Cenote. For most of the time, we were the only people there, and I can say that this was a very special privilege, to appreciate the tranquility and beauty of this place which is sacred to the Mayans. It was something we would never have experienced otherwise and Claire was experienced in leading us through the silent, clear water in a way which allowed us to enjoy the beauty of the place while respecting its fragility and without worrying about getting lost! In fact you cannot visit this Cenote without a guide.
As other reviewers have said, the meal in the jungle was also great. I enjoyed learning a bit about Mexico and the history of the Mayans over lunch from Claire, who is a great source of knowedge and takes her tour guiding very seriously.
All in all, highly recommended to anyone who appreciates something special and thanks to Claire for making it a memorable day for myself and two grown up children.
