Incredible experience with cenotes/snorkeling! the water was a great temperature and our guide was awesome - very safe and don?t need to be a strong swimmer to have fun. The cave was great to see and snorkeling made it possible to explore so much of the cave. It was a total of 2 hours and then lunch was really great - an authentic Mexican meal at the end after swimming.

Absolutely incredible tour. Our group of 24 was led by Arturo through Tulum’s Mayan ruins before we had lunch and tasted tequilas. Arturo was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the ruins and the peoples who lived there. Definitely would do another tour with him.

Great experience. We were shown round a cenote and got to snorkel in it. The tequila tasting was also brilliant and our guide Artolo was incredibly knowledgable. We got to taste some great tequilas. We cannot say enough how incredible Artolo was as our guide for the day. He made the trip even better.

Fantastic Day! A big thank you to Juan and Enrique for such an enjoyable day. We visited Cancun for the first time in mid-March and were looking for a safe, educational and fun way to spend a day off the resort with our teenage son. After much research, we booked the Chichen Itza tour. It was one of the best tours we?ve ever been on. Juan and Enrique picked us up promptly at 6:15am and we reached Chichen Itza before the crowds. Everything was well organized with tickets pre-purchased for us and we were ushered through the gates. We really felt like VIPs. Juan guided us through the ruins and shared his extensive knowledge of the Mayans. It was incredible and we have some great pictures in front of El Castillo without another person in sight. We really appreciated the private tour, especially when we were leaving Chichen Itza and saw dozens of buses and hundreds of people lined up to get in. We then traveled a short distance to a ceynote. Again, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves with only 4-5 other people there at the same time. It was a spiritual and invigorating experience. After that we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a very nice restaurant in Valladolid. It was a stress-free day. Enrique skillfully and safely drove the entire trip. Juan was a wealth of knowledge and able to share so much about the culture. Both were very friendly and professional. We would highly recommend Absolute and will definitely spend another day with them on our next trip to Mexico.

Now we have had a tour. #1 - Juan (our guide) reached out and strongly encouraged an earlier start (we wanted coffee) and arranged a stop for that life giving elixir for us. Great decision, cooler at Chican Itza and much less crowded. By the time we left it was much busier and a lot hotter. We had the Cenote swim as an add-on and had the out of the way location almost entirely to ourselves. Never had more than two other swimmers with us. Fantastic. Now, back to Juan. I have never had a better guide and interpreter. His knowledge of the Maya and their customs was excellent and accurate. He engaged our children (10,10 & 7) in the details and really excited their imagination. Lunch was in some hidden away local gem and has been our best meal of the trip. ---- Earlier post: I haven't actually done the tour yet, but we are booking late. Website had all the dates as full. They engaged through chat function and Claire helped find a date they could rearrange staff to accomodate our trip. 1st class service. I will edit when we complete the tour.

We just completed three half day tours with Alex as our guide. All were great. Would highly recommend Absolute Adventure to anyone. We had two smaller kids in our group (6/7 yrs old) and it was a blast. I highly recommend the lagoon tour if u have younger kids.

Absolute Adventure Mexico is the perfect company to book your private tours. They were so helpful and saved us a lot of money. Our guide, Joshua, gave us a tour in English and Spanish so my Spanish high school students were able to hear and practice their language skills. We were short on time so they helped us design the best tour to see as much as possible in the few hours we were off the cruise ship. We visited Tulum and cenotes and they gave us lunch on the run to get us back in time for the cruise. We would recommend this company and love to go back to visit more of Mexico with them.

Our guide was Arturo. We were a party of 4 (M17, M48, M47, F47) He was wonderful. At the Ruins he talked about the history. You can tell he loves the history. He kept us away from the big groups (they were obnoxious) we learned things others may not have. He took us to a Cenote and went in with us. Let us take our time. No part of this tour was rushed. We went to lunch at a place called Juanita. I have a food allergy and he was great about checking to see what I could have. I ate the club sandwich. Probably the best one I have ever had. What a cute quiet place. The last stop was the snorkeling with the turtles. Sadly this party he was not allowed to be our guide as someone from there had to be the guide. The turtle snorkel was busy and a LOT of ocean swimming. You really should be a good swimmer for this part. Life jackets were required for all water parts. In a while we LOVED this day. We would book tours with this company again!

Cenotes are an amazing experience. Went on a Sunday morning and had both Cenotes to ourselves. Joshua and Enrico picked us up right on time in Cancun. Clean van and had all the equipment ready for us. Recommended the wetsuit for Pet cemetery since it is a longer swim in chilly water.

I recently went to Tulum to celebrate some family members' birthdays. Our group was composed of people from the age of 30 to 72 years old. Our tour guide was great! Everyone enjoyed the snorkeling and the tequila tasting. The restaurant that the tour guide took us to had amazing drinks but the food could've been better. However, we went primarily for the snorkeling and tequila tasting (we stayed at an all inclusive so food wasn't that important to us). As a result, I would highly recommend this tour and business!

Private tour with an amazing guide. We booked 2 private tours with Absolute Adventure after reading several reviews. Both were amazing experiences. We were fortunate enough to have Arturo as our guide for both tours. The first tour was to visit the Ancient Mayan Ruins in Tul?m. Arturo was very knowledgeable and informative all while keeping us engaged. He made the tour fun and even takes the best pictures! The second tour we took was to Dos Ojos. To be honest I was a bit nervous about going into a bat cave but Arturo made sure I was comfortable and to be honest, there was nothing to worry about. The tour was amazing. We could take as much time as we wanted. If you want to stay away from the crowds this company made sure we were one of the first ones at each tour. I would definitely recommend this company. Also Arturo is a gem. Hope you will be lucky enough to have him as your guide.

Highlight of our trip! This was the absolute highlight of our vacation, our guide Arturo was fantastic in every way: knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, accommodating and made us feel completely comfortable and safe the entire day. The early morning tour of the ruins was perfect with fewer crowds and lower temperatures. Swimming with the turtles was so fun and swimming in the cenote was a top 10 moment for me and my kids as well as our friends. I cannot recommend this enough!

We had the private tour with Juan and our driver Enrique. It was a beautiful day at the ruins, an amazing experience at Cenote Taak Bi Ha, and saw lots of turtles and stingrays snorkeling. We were greeted on time, a lot of information shared at the sites, and felt unrushed for the day. The private tour is definitely the way to go, and it was fantastic to have the focused attention on our questions, and informative expert guide, and a safe place to leave our items for the water activities. Highly recommend.

He made sure to ask what kind of tour we wanted. He was super fun and the private tour was great. We got to go on our own timeline. Tulum was great, cenotes were beautiful and snorkeling with the turtles was amazing. We got to see stingrays too.

The cenote swim made the entire trip. I mean I've always wanted to see Chichen Itza, so item checked, it was so hot our day one of the kids couldn't do much more, absolutely no one's fault and with this private tour we got there before opening. I can't imagine arriving when we left and there were plenty of busses waiting to get in at that point. A/C and cold water revived everyone and then the cenote got us all the way back. The lunch was fantastic. Chris our guide gave good recommendations. Valladolid square was the low point. Everything around the square was overly touristy and expensive. This made us wish we had not been quite as rushed at Chichen Itza for and we're able to check out the vendors there. No idea if the constant yelling of "one dollar" was true or not but we never found out either. I would highly recommend this tour just on the timeframe of getting there, the cenote, and lunch. Our driver Omar was super patient, and was fantastic in watching over whatever we left in the vehicle and was opening the trunk to the cooler as soon as he saw us after ever stop.

Perfect Private Tour with Artruo We had a perfect private tour with our guide, Arturo and driver, Omar. They arrived early for our 7AM pickup at our door and we got on the road. We arrived and Tulum and were the first people in! This fantastic historical site was all ours for most of the tour. Arturo was friendly and very knowledgeable. He was a great conversationalist throughout our tour, discussing architecture, history, and places he has visited. He showed us the best vantage points to view the ruins and great places to take photos. After Tulum, we swam with the turtles at Akumal. Arturo passed us off to an official guide who took us out snorkeling to see the turtles. He kept us safe and let us take our time. What a great experience! Next was lunch at a local restaurant which was delicious. We returned to our location in Playa del Carmen in the early afternoon and had the rest of the day to enjoy. All fees and lunch were included in the price. We were offered soda and water to enjoy during the trip. We felt our time was used well, there were no shopping stops nor any strong-arming to tip. (We took a big bus tour to Chichen Itza with another company and had a horrifically long day with wasted time shopping and lots of sales pitches.)

This was truly the only tour we needed to do & a highlight of our trip to the Mayan Riviera. Our driver Enrique safely navigated us through the busy roads & then stayed with the van keeping our belongings safe. Arturo, the most engaging & knowledgeable guide ever, showed us around the Tulum ruins. By using them, we avoided the crowds, an absolute must! Our next stops were 2 cenotes recommended by Arturo. They were truly magical & we are still talking about them! All this was finished off with an authentic Mayan lunch owned by a Mayan family. We highly recommend Absolute Adventures, it's worth the splurge!

We are from Cincinnati and did a tour of Tulum and Coba because our 6th grade son loves ancient history. Juan was an incredible guide and Claire was great to schedule with via email. We literally were the first in line at Tulum before it got crowded and riding bikes at Coba was awesome. Our first grader got to ride in a bike taxi. We found Absolute Adventure via Google and my wife was a little nervous about leaving the resort. It was the best day of our vacation. Now my son is building Mayan temples on the beach.

Went on the Chichen Itza private tour with another couple. Our guide was Alex and our driver was Omar. If you?re lucky, you?ll get these guys. They were total pros and we never had any worries at all during the day! Our pickup was early at the hotel and on time. Alex gave us an outline of what the day would entail while Omar drove in a safe yet efficient manner. Made a gas station stop on the way and any time we were away from the van, Omar was standing with it and it was a great feeling knowing our belongings were safe. At Chichen Itza Omar dropped us off at the entrance like rock stars and Alex led us through the already developing long line. We walked right into the site and I was blown away. Alex was an excellent guide and was fascinating to listen to. We learned so much about the Mayans and the buildings we were lucky enough to get to see. We all felt incredible appreciation for the history and respect for the area and the people who lived there. We were toured in a very efficient and enthusiastic way by Alex and we were out of there by 11 ish. By then there were literally thousands of people entering the site and an incredible amount of vans and tour buses. Omar had us hooked up near the exit and we were tail lights thankfully. It?s a pretty big crowd by noon. We then went to the Cenote and it was unlike anything we?d ever seen before. We had a refreshing swim in there and then headed to lunch. We had a wonderful lunch at the restaurant in town and it was really nice to have Alex join us. We weren?t really into the idea of going to a market since we?re not really into that kind of thing and we?d already gotten anything we wanted at the Chichen Itza site, so one of the benefits of this private tour was we had the ability to skip it. On the way back we had a few beers and then learned there was a protest on our route back. No problem-o. Omar knew a route we could take to get us back without getting jammed up in a protest. We got back to our hotel, got a group photo and we all talked the next day about what an absolutely fantastic experience this was. Make it happen folks. This is the way to do it. Zero regrets, and we?ll be sure to be taking the same route for any future tours if we?re in the area again. Thanks again Omar & Alex! You guys made it such a fantastic day! We?ll always remember it with nothing but positive memories!

You can stop searching for a tour company! Truly this was the easiest and best part of our trip. We chose Tulum, Turtles, and Centote (I'd do the 3 Centote if I could choose again) and loved it. Arturo was our guide and was fantastic. He didn't tell weird jokes or yell like other campy guides can do - I felt safe and taken care of. It's easy to book and communication was seamless. DO IT. Have fun and tell Arturo that the quilter from Oregon says HEY.
