During the guided visit at Chichen Itza, we typically spend about 2 to 2 hours and 15 minutes exploring the site.
We go at your own pace, taking breaks whenever needed to ensure your comfort.
If you wish, we can also adjust the visit to be shorter or longer depending on your preferences.
Our goal is to make the experience as enjoyable and flexible as possible for you.
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes for exploring the ruins—tennis shoes are ideal. Light, breathable clothing is also suggested due to the warm weather.
You can safely leave your belongings in the van—our driver stays with it the entire time while you're out enjoying the activities.
After your guided tour of Chichen Itza, you'll have free time to explore more or you own or to shop souvenirs. You can use this time to go to the restaurant on-site.

Private Sunrise Tour to Chichen Itza with Arturo.
Arturo was an outstanding guide on our private sunrise express tour to Chichen Itza. We were picked up as promised a little before 6:00 am. Our driver Yosmar was professional and we felt safe in his capable hands. We arrived at 7:30 am and I asked Art to take our picture in front of the sign. He said if we didn’t do it then, it would be impossible later with the crowds and he was not wrong! I appreciate the tip as I really wanted a pic of us in front of the sign! While Art purchased our tickets we had a chance to use the restroom which was appreciated. There were just a few people in line so when they opened, we pretty much had the place to ourselves! It was an amazing site to see the Temple of Kukulcán without hoards of people! We got some great pics as well. Art was a good communicator and had a binder of visuals to help bring the stories/information to life. We visited all three of the main architectural areas based on construction styles and periods and never had issues with crowds etc. We inquired about a quick bite to eat and Art had a couple of suggestions, one being to stop along the way and try an authentic Mexican pork sandwich made fresh while we waited. We did this and were not disappointed! This private sunrise tour is the way to go! I liked being on our own schedule, not having to battle crowds and having a personal guide that was able to answer any questions we had and go at our pace. Thank you Art for making our time in Chichen Itza educational and memorable!

This was an amazing tour! We were two families with four kids ages 16,14, 9, & 7. Juan (JJ) was an awesome tour guide, very knowledgeable, great with the kids – involving and answering their questions as well as the adults. The length of time was perfect for us. Highly recommend.

Absolutely Amazing way to see Chichen Itza
We had an incredible private tour of Chichén Itzá with Josh, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Josh was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about Mayan history and culture. He explained everything in a clear, fascinating way and was happy to answer all of our questions.
The private tour made the experience feel relaxed and personal, and Josh did a great job pacing the visit and helping us avoid the busiest areas when possible. We learned so much more than we ever would have on our own. If you’re visiting Chichén Itzá, I can’t recommend Josh enough, this tour was worth every penny.

We got a tour with Josh and he was excellent. He was cordial and polite on the early morning drive from our Mayan Riviera resort to Chichen Itza, and then dialled up the energy when we got there. We don’t usually do guided tours but so glad we did this. The company communicated well throughout, the guide Cyril was very informative and had the right balance of professionalism and friendliness. We literally missed the crowds and were first people in.
We didn’t do the cenotes as we were staying near some so did this ourselves, but well worth an add on if you cannot do independently.

Fabulous cenote snorkeling tour!!!
We had a fabulous adventure. The pet cemetery was utterly spectacular and a truly unique experience. We also enjoyed dos Ojos and the bat cave- stunning in a different way. Arturo was an excellent and entertaining guide for our multi-family group (ages 11 to 58). Booking and communication was incredibly easy and responsive. All around thumbs up!!!

Outstanding tour of Chichen Itza
We had an amazing experience with the Chichen Itza Express tour guided by Eduardo, and with Enrique as our driver. We went as a family with three teenagers who had a lot of questions about Chichen Itza and the history of Mexico. Eduardo was incredibly experienced, patient and personable and made the day truly fantastic. The communication prior to the tour day was outstanding. We would very highly recommend this tour company!

My wife and I chose Absolute Adventure for our holiday in Quintana Roo. It was quite a bit more expensive than some of the other available tours but after 2 days of exploring Tulum, Coba and Chichen Itza, with our amazing guide, Christina, and our two excellent drivers who delivered us safely all around the Yucatan region, I would really recommend this company. They were super easy to deal with and organized. Our guide and drivers were extremely friendly, professional, and very accommodating. We saw so many amazing things, tasted delicious local food, and learned so much from our guide, who was very knowledgeable and passionate about Mayan culture and history as well as knowledgeable about Mexico as a whole. If you really want to learn and feel a sense of adventure on your visit to some of the most amazing cultural, natural and historic attractions in the Yucatan, I would highly recommend a private tour with Absolute Adventure over any of the bigger more crowded tour companies.

Absolutely Incredible Tour
Absolute Adventure is a phenomenal tour guiding agency. We booked 2 tours with them, Tulum & Coba day 1 and Chichen Itza Express day 2 and it was worth every penny. We were super lucky to get our guide Christina both days. She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture of the Yucatan Peninsula and the Mayan people. We learned so much and had a fantastic time every step of the way. Our drivers, Omar and Enrique were excellent as well. Extremely accommodating, polite and they did a marvellous job navigating through the parades and celebrations during the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe holidays during the week of our tours. Early start to beat the crowds, but getting up early is worth it to see amazing site before it gets crowded. Alex, the guide was a mine of information on Mayan culture and maths! Definitely enhances your experience. Alex very likeable and answers every question. About 6 hrs Inc driving both ways. Time to do stuff in the afternoon. Site is very interesting.
