A destination shaped by water and wildlife
The Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve protects coastal wetlands, mangroves and bird habitat in Yucatán. The area is associated with flamingos and other waterbirds. Our previous tour paired a boat outing here with Las Coloradas, but we are not currently offering that itinerary.

What is the difference between Río Lagartos and Las Coloradas?
Río Lagartos is associated with the coastal wetlands and wildlife of the Ría Lagartos reserve. Las Coloradas is known for its pink salt ponds. Our previous itinerary visited both.
Are the alternatives below the same wildlife experience?
No. Punta Laguna, cenote and lagoon tours visit different places and have their own activities. Review each itinerary to choose an adventure that suits your group.
