Isla Mujeres Private Tour
Come relax on sacred Mayan ground! Isla Mujeres was considered to be sacred by the Mayan Population and was originally dedicated to Ix Chel, the goddess of medicine and childbirth. Isla Mujeres actually means Women Island and you can tell the name fits the second you walk onto the five-mile-long stretch of land. This description makes sense as many features of the island depict the goddess herself.
Isla Mujeres is perfect for the traveler that just wants to relax. The area has some of the best white sand beaches that you find during your vacation. This island, originally used for religious purposes by the Mayan, was just recently revamped into a tourist destination. We know exactly how to get the most out of this location.
The most magnificent part of the island is the water surrounding it. Our guides will get you acquainted with the water and first take you on a boat tour of the island. On this tour, you will be able to experience in the calm waters, marvelous colors, and natural terrain of the area prior to moving to the other side of the island.
You will move from the boat to the golf cart to explore the interior of the island. Your private guide will pause to allow you to visit the Punta Sur Museum. This museum is home to the remains from an old Maya temple and showcases artwork of many of the Maya gods. Our guides are taught to stop at any chance to point out great photo locations and we guarantee yours will be no different.
You will then move from cart to sea after a stop for lunch. Isla Mujeres has an amazing reef and the tour wouldn’t be perfect if you did not get to end the day by snorkeling.
